With our Wild West office in Cornwall based just a few miles from the beach quite often, location has its benefits. There’s no disputing training doesn’t get much better than when it’s hosted at a beachfront venue.

Ellie and I were lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend a recent Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) training session at the Blue Bar in Porthtowan on the north Cornish coast – a stone’s throw from the beach.

The dedicated blogger training session was led by prolific parenting blogger, Slummy Single Mummy. As well as hearing more about how best to use blogs as a promotional tool for businesses and brands, the session also included top tips on how PRs should generic diflucan tablet most effectively engage with bloggers, including creative ideas to make bloggers want to work with PRs.

  1. Before you approach bloggers to promote your brand think about what you want to achieve and how you will measure it
  2. Consider what you’re asking a blogger to deliver e.g. photography, content or good engagement
  3. Make use of resources like Social Fabric, TOTS100, Foodies100 or Teads to find the right bloggers to work with
  4. Just as you’d pitch to a journalist, make your offering relevant and personal; consider how you might use social media to interact / make an approach
  5. Keep in touch – maintain contact even after a blogger has delivered for you
