The Nare: Launching new luxury suites during lockdown

The challenge

Launch the brand new Whittington Suites at Cornwall’s highest rated luxury hotel – The Nare – to travel & lifestyle media and generate 80% occupancy for the suites in the first year (all in a time of COVID).

The solution

We worked closely with The Nare in-house team to create an unforgettable online event that wowed and lifted the spirits of travel journalists when the sector was at its lowest ebb.

From invites that nodded to the Suites’ unique design, through to canapes and champagne hand delivered to attendees on the day of the event, every little touch was crafted to give media the full ‘Nare experience’ – stylish, thoughtful, highly personal.

A special guest appearance from long-standing friend of the Nare, Dame Judi Dench, added extra sparkle officially declaring the suites open and joining guests on a virtual red carpet tour.

The impact

  • 100% occupancy secured for the Whittington suites for 2021, all within days of opening
  • 29 key national trade and consumer travel and lifestyle media attended the event and a further 70 directly engaged with
  • 54 pieces of luxury travel coverage secured including The Times and House & Garden
