Wild West held it’s annual awards last week, celebrating a wealth of team success and promotions. The team baked a festive feast for the occasion including Good Housekeeping’s cheese scone wreath, traditional mince pies and a show-stopping stollen.
Campaign of the Year was awarded to the Rodda’s 125th Anniversary campaign. Highlights of the campaign to celebrate 125 years as a family business included the launch of the Cream Tea Society, celebrating the first ever National Cream Tea Day and promoting Rodda’s brand new children’s book, The Great Cream Robbery. The story tells the tale of Merryn the criminal cat going to great lengths for just one lick of her favourite clotted cream. Maddi Cameron even chased Merryn across this year’s Royal Cornwall Show dressed as a policeman (below).
Pitch of the Year went to the Sacla’ team for their fantastic win – showcasing enthusiasm for the brand by creating some delicious pesto bread and a pesto lemon drizzle cake. The team will work with Sacla’ to boost the pesto brand in the UK and will be creating an exciting immersive event for consumers in London, as part of the brand’s 25th birthday celebrations in March.
Maddi, Pip and Ellie gave the senior team award to Megan Hocking for her fantastic support across so many campaigns since she started at Wild Card in May, including the Rodda’s 125 campaign. A very special mention also went out to Sasha for her great social work on Dickinson & Morris and Kelly’s of Cornwall.
Coverage of the Year was awarded to Ellie Glason for her amazing Eden Project coverage on Blue Peter. Presenter, Barney Harwood, went ‘extreme gardening’ with Eden horticulturalist Hetty Ninnis, helping to trim the tree canopy from extreme heights. The feature showcased the highlights of the rainforest biome and explained Eden’s raison d’etre in a feature lasting over five minutes. Well done Ellie!
Kate Wild’s award for 2015 went to Philippa Hill for stepping so admirably into Laura’s shoes on a number of accounts. Philippa has given unwavering support to Georgie and the whole of the Wild West office and has won a well-deserved dinner for two at Fifteen Cornwall.
The festivities were topped off by a number of exciting promotions in the Wild West office. Ellie Ashdown has been promoted to Account Executive, Aimee Rowe-Best is moving into a new role as Senior Account Executive and Maddi Cameron has been promoted to Account Director.
Well done to the team and Merry Christmas everybody!
