This Monday, the Laurent-Perrier team at Wild Card turned up at the Royal Hospital Chelsea bright and early for the world famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show. After scooping Best in Show last year, we knew it was going to be a hard act to follow but the garden certainly didn’t disappoint.
Under the creative direction of world famous garden designer Dan Pearson, the Laurent-Perrier garden was created in association with Chatsworth House. The garden was inspired by the Trout Stream and Joseph Paxton’s rockery at Chatsworth, as well as the purity and elegance of Laurent-Perrier champagne.
Despite the blustery weather, famous faces were plentiful who called by the garden including Wild Card’s favourite Mary Berry, Raymond Blanc, Paul Smith, Will Young and England Rugby Captain Chris Robshaw.
On Tuesday morning, Dan was presented with a Gold Medal and after an agonising wait, it was Garden Presenter Monty Don who told Dan the garden had won Best in Show!
After months and months of planning, reams of coverage and various trips to Chatsworth, it was the perfect end to another brilliant Chelsea Flower Show.
