Some of the Wild Card team were fortunate enough to attend this year’s first tour, The Discover Hotels Gourmet Odyssey, where all involved enjoy a champagne reception, starter, main and dessert in four of London’s best hotel restaurants.

Starting at the beautiful Rosewood Hotel, guests enjoyed a refreshing aperitif of Laurent-Perrier Brut while relaxing in the stunning surroundings of the Edwardian, Grade II-listed building.

All guests then climbed onboard a private RouteMaster double-decker bus and on to the next restaurant, Plum + Spilt Milk at The Great Northern Hotel, for a wild pigeon and autumn squash starter accompanied by a glass of Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut.

For the main course a trip to the Holborn Dining Room followed, where all were served a mightily tender rib eye ‘club cut’ steak and an array of side dishes, paired perfectly to the distinguished Laurent-Perrier Vintage 2004.

The final leg of the tour stopped at the iconic Corinthia Hotel’s Northall Bar, with a glass or two of Laurent-Perrier’s Cuvée Rosé. For dessert, a warm hazelnut financier, spiced quince and brown butter ice cream.
