To round off an exciting LDF, we headed over to Decorex to help celebrate their 35th birthday. The Decorex entrance is always something we look forward to and this year was no exception, with beautiful designs by the legendary Vivienne Westwood.
The biggest talking point for the show was the gigantic white furniture tower built by the team at Christopher Guy.We’re still baffled as to how this stayed up!
One of our highlights of the show was the Paperboy Wallpaper stand. We remembered seeing their stand last year at 100% Design and were thrilled to see how well they are doing. The new jigsaw print is a new favourite! This brand are living proof that the keep it simple + stand out from the crowd formula is one that works a treat. We’re really looking forward to seeing what they do next!
Another highlight for us was the Harlequin stand. The dining table setup reminded us of Renoir’s Luncheon of the Boating Party painting and we couldn’t stop wandering back to take another look.
Already a favourite for many of us in the office, Aram was high up on our must-visit list. Great furniture on the stand this year and very comfy sofas. Thanks to the team for letting us have a sit down for a bit to rest our weary LDF feet!
The Tom Faulkner stand was another stand out for us. We might be a little biased as Tom has recently teamed up with our Chesneys to design a stunning surround & set of fire dogs. We were thrilled to hear that the stand had won an award for most stylish product from the team at House & Garden.
One of the things we really loved about the show was the way it utilised social media. We really liked the live Twitter feed by the seminar theatre and chatter about Sunday’s #beatontweetup filled our Twitter feed (almost as much as Downton Abbey)!
Last but by no means least, we wish Decorex a very happy 35th birthday and thank you for another great show!
