When Knitwear Meets Magazine
If our favourite magazines boiled down to another format, what would they be? Would Good Housekeeping become an apron? Might LivingEtc be a writing desk? House & Garden a four-poster bed? Recently, we were invited to see how Wallpaper* magazine would channel itself and the results were handsome and discreet.
Italian design house Slowear and sub knitwear label Zanone has collaborated with one of the world’s leading authorities on architecture, design, fashion and art, Wallpaper*. Editors selected colours from the magazine’s archive and, working closely with the design studio at Zanone, created three cashmere silk sweaters which are now available exclusively from Selfridges London. The capsule collection can be browsed until February 15th and we found the knits genuinely thoughtful, stylish and buttery soft. A few traits we’d like to be if we were distilled.
It’s often a rarity that two commercial brands piece together perfectly, so it was pleasing to discover how well this worked. We wonder which collaboration will triumph next?
