Our top picks for London Design Festival 2012

Here at Parker Hobart, September means one thing…London Design Festival. Long days, late nights, lots of parties and just too much to see in a 2 weeks. However despite all of us running around the city trying to pack as much as possible into a day, we are always inspired at the end of it all.

With so many new events on the list this year, we can’t wait until LDF kicks off. We’ve listed below a few events that are one our must see list this year.

Tent London

Tent London is one of our favourite events with an amazing mix of new designers and international brands. This year, we can’t wait to check out the new Country Pavillions, where countries such as Norway, Japan and Netherlands are showcasing designs that represent their national identity.

Fitzrovia Now

Fitrovia has recently become one of the most talked about areas in London, with a range of new showrooms, galleries, restaurants and hotels popping up. Some of our favourite http://premier-pharmacy.com/product-category/gastrointestinal/ brands such as Hastens, Fritz Hansen, Sanderson and Material Lab will be taking part in Fitzrovia Now, where each shop will be having special events and late night openings. You’ll definitely find us resting our feet and enjoying a yummy tea cocktail at The Riding House Cafe!

Tom Dixon’s The Dock

It may be a little out of the way, but we always make time for The Dock . This year we are looking forward to seeing Tom’s new lighting display called Luminosity, where he will be showcasing new lamps, lights and shades in different environments. It you haven’t been to The Dock, it is a must-see design destination nestled beside the canal of Portobello Dock. In case you feel like grabbing a bite, Stevie Parle’s Dock Kitchen restaurant upstairs serves up some delicious dishes and will be open through-out the festival.
