Creative Press Day for Tableware Brand Villeroy & Boch
How do you throw a successful media event? Around this time, most brand’s press shows tend to follow a “Christmas in July” theme for long lead planning. Wild Card, however, transformed Villeroy & Boch’s press day into an immersive seaside event, in the heart of London, to stand out from the crowd and give the press a relevant hook.
Wild Card brought together House & Garden, Homes & Gardens, Living Etc and The I, to enjoy a day at the seaside, complete with sandcastles and fish and chips.
The Villeroy & Boch collections for 2016 lent themselves perfectly to this theme. The Rose Cottage and Boston Rose collections made what does generic diflucan look like fitting table displays for an English seaside tea shop, the tropical fish New Wave Caffe mugs helped to depict a fishing boat scene and the Casale Blu collection picked up on Mediterranean coastal style.
However, it couldn’t be entirely neglected that in the editorial world Christmas starts now, so on the 1st floor of the event space a magical festive scene was created, finished with snow and giant nutcracker statues.
The immersive event generated fantastic content via Instagram and Twitter from the glossy magazines and gave a reason for top bloggers such as The Happy Flat and Style & Minimalism to come and snap away for their websites.
