Top finds from 100% Design

Our London Design Festival destination this morning was 100% Design.  www.100percentdesign.co.uk

Joining the queue we enjoyed the atmospheric entrance tunnel with lights guiding us into the central circle where we headed straight for the interiors zone.

It was tough to pick just five but these brands struck a cord…….

Bark www.barkfurniture.com

A husband and wife team who make each piece in Cornwall (although production has been known to slow down when the waves are good). A nod to mid-century design, the subtle co-ordinating details didn’t go unnoticed while the bold colours mixed with solid walnut made us stop to try out these sleek chairs.

JiB www.jibds.com

New on the scene, JiB studio started up 6 months ago and was a big attraction at the show. Consoles with integrated pots to store bits n’ bobs or plant some greenery are beautifully designed and on our ‘Must have’ list. We’re looking forward to seeing what comes next.

DelightFULL www.delightfull.eu

The name does say it all. Fun, clever and seriously stylish, this Portuguese design group showcased a beautiful collection of lights. The massive trumpet-esque gold plated Botti design is a winner.

Jacco Maris www.jaccomaris.com

Designs based on bending a metal strip, this is the signature trademark of Jacco Maris designs. We did a double take when we passed the steel lamp painted to look like porcelain – exquisite.  The first time showing in the UK, we predict you’ll see a lot more of these.

Mette www.mettecreates.com

After spotting this kitchen  in the 100% Design café,  we headed straight to the stand where we had a lovely chat with owner Nelson. A great story and a great product, this kitchen has been used by celebrity chefs and big brands alike for various events. The new residential collection is aimed at those who want something very specific from their kitchen by allowing you to interchange letting  you create kitchen islands, tables, mini-kitchens and cocktail bars and more.
