Who’s your money on?

Here at PH HQ, tensions are running high as we countdown to the final of GBBO (Great British Bake Off, of course)! Who will be crowned victorious, we just can’t tell? So to help us choose we’ve whiled away the afternoon setting some odds. Read on, and place your (hypothetical) bets:

Ruby Tandoh

Essex-born, Ruby, is the baby of the group at just 21. Ruby is now completing a degree. Despite being a student, Ruby prefers to spend her nights whipping up a storm (quite literally) in the kitchen, than having a night out on the tiles.

Strengths

Ruby has won the coveted Star Baker slot 3 times! Her puppy dog eyes have certainly won the hearts of the nation’s male fans (Paul Hollywood, we’re on to you!)

Weaknesses

Mel Giedroyc has threatened violence to snap Ruby out of her tendency to sulk and/or cry throughout the series!

Verdict

Hanging in there – 6/4

Kimberley Wilson

London’s own, Kimberley, has shown consistency throughout the series, not only in her cheerfulness! Talk about juggling many plates, Kimberley has managed to compete alongside her day job managing the psychology service for Holloway Prison.

Strengths

Almost zen-like calm

Weaknesses

Plays it a bit on the safe side

Verdict

Seriously tough competition – 2/1

Frances Quinn

Oh, Frances – we just never know where we are with you! One minute you’re up, then you’re down! Frances has a natural creative streak that she puts to use working as a designer for Joules clothing.

Strengths

Imagination – Frances has, without doubt, had some of the most eye-catching designs! We love her quirky styles!

Weaknesses

Style over substance – we’ve heard it so often over the past weeks, can Frances pull it back?

Verdict

Stands a good chance IF she can combine flavour with panache – 4/1
