Everybody loves to share good news and the recent New Covent Garden Soup Souper Stars campaign did just that by celebrating and sharing some of kindness that goes on in the world.
New Covent Garden Soup hunted high and low across the nation for local ‘Souper Stars’ from all over the country; community heroes who go above and beyond to help others or have achieved something remarkable, and this weekend at a glam award ceremony at London’s Home House, Jessica Brannan has been named as New Covent Garden Soup’s overall national ‘Souper Star’.
Twelve regional finalists were chosen from across the UK and all attended a glitzy all-expenses paid ‘Souper Stars’ award ceremony dinner and mini break in central London this weekend. As the chosen overall winner, Jessica was presented on the night with the additional winning prize of £2,500 to donate to a charity of her choice and £2,500 of gift card vouchers to treat herself to a well-deserved reward!
Psychologist Honey Langcaster-James, who attended the award ceremony and chose Jessica as overall Souper Star commented: ‘It genuinely was an extremely difficult task choosing the overall winner from so many true Souper Stars, but I picked Jessica because of the sheer number and variety of ways she is making a difference to so many lives. I was awe-inspired by the many different acts of kindness she is engaged in on a daily basis. She is involved in some incredibly challenging projects and is working to start a catalyst for kindness and initiating a change of community spiritedness’.
