Last year Johnson Cleaners and The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation launched the country’s first ever wedding outfit amnesty, inviting the nation to donate wedding outfits in support of the charity which organises and funds weddings for people with terminal illnesses and life limiting conditions. Over the last 12 months more than 500 outfits have been dropped off at Johnsons’ stores and gifted to the cause. All items donated have either been worn by brides and grooms being supported by the charity, or will be sold to raise funds for The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation.
With the wedding season now in full swing, this year Johnson Cleaners and The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation are calling on the nation to take a #wedwishselfie and donate £2 to the charity. Members of the public can participate whether they are getting married this summer, going to be a bridesmaid or even just a wedding guest. The founder of the charity Naomi Thomas is launching the #wedwishselfie today following the renewal of her wedding vows with her husband Graham. Naomi set up the foundation after receiving the devastating news that her breast cancer is terminal and decided to devote the remainder of her life helping others to find happiness by fulfilling the wedding dreams of those who are terminally ill.
